Minnesota lawmakers are reviewing legislation involving democrats remove sales tax exemption for baby products from tax , an issue with potential local implications in Maplewood.

Republicans in both chambers successfully amended an omnibus tax bill to expand the exemption to items such as cribs, strollers, mattresses, car seats, and wipes.
That amendment, however, was stripped from the bill during conference committee.
As the measure advances, residents of Maplewood can follow amendments and contact Tou Xiong regarding the final language.
